On your first visit to our office you will be welcomed as a member of our family and our receptionist will greet you with a warm smile. You will then be asked to fill out our new patient forms which will help us gain some information about yourself and your condition. The doctors will then talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. During your consultation at Back Into Motion Chiropractic, your doctor will examine you and discuss recommendations for the best type of care to yield the best results. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Your examination will also include a computerized examination called the "Insight Millennium Subluxation Examination." This examination involves several important co mponents.
The first part of this examination process involves reading spinal heat differences from one level of the spine to another, as well as from one side of the spine to the other. Heat is a by-product of circulation, which is controlled by the autonomic nervous system. From this we can see how subluxation may be affecting these functions of your nervous system.
In the second part of this examination the Insight Millennium Subluxation Examination scans the surface of your spinal area for surface electrical impulses, and measures them along your spine. This helps measure the affect of subluxation on the motor nerve system and the affect subluxations may be having on your muscles.
The importance of each of these tests will be explained to you at your Report of Findings. However, it is important to note that this examination helps scientifically understand the subluxation processes going on in your spine. It also gives us a baseline for future tests so we can accurately measure your progress to see how your spine is correcting and your nervous system is functioning. Using the Insight Millennium Subluxation Examination is much more accurate than just depending on "how you feel" on any given day.
Examination
After a thorough consultation with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include any necessary standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that a better understanding of how chiropractic can help you. If necessary, the doctor may have X-rays taken or refer you for additional testing procedures.
X-ray
X-ray’s are required in most cases to get a full evaluation of a patient.
